Is there anything else that you would like to tell us about your work or organisation?

Our coast is blessed with the arrival of Olive Ridley turtles, which come regularly to lay eggs. The egg-laying season extends from the month of August to March. The volunteers of Naythal expectantly wait for the arrival of the turtles every year and, when laid, the eggs are collected carefully and transferred to hatcheries constructed with the support of the Kerala Forest and Wildlife Department. The hatched young ones are protected and released into the sea.
